Say Hello To Andy Goodwin

Meet Andy Goodwin

Fine Art & Printed Materials Specialist

'Hello, my name is Andy Goodwin and I originate from a farming background. I ran the family cow farm for over 30 years until the death of my father when the cows were then sold. I then worked on a friend's dairy farm for a few years until they also sold their cows before setting up a freelance gardening business.

My Passion for antiques comes from the fact that as well as the farm, that I grew up surrounded by antiques. As well as farming, my father had a very successful and highly respected antiques business specialising in books, pictures and printed materials, this he ran from the mid 1960s until his death in 2009.

One of my father's main outlets was his regular stall at the Stafford Bingley Hall antiques fair, which was organised by Bowman Antique fairs. He and my mother always stood at their regular pitch in the main hall near to the furniture pavilion. When my mother passed away in 2006, I then helped my father on his stall where his regulars were always keen to see what he had unearthed from his stores and to listen it his knowledge of his many subjects of interest'.

Andy has been a family friend of Toby's since his parents and Andy were younger and in Young Farmers together. Andy has known Toby since he was a young boy and as Toby started to hold auctions, Andy has always been on hand to assist.
