Meet Sophie Chapman, Our New Specialist in Jewellery and Fine Antiques

Leighton Hall Auctions is thrilled to announce that we are expanding our services to include specialist jewellery and fine antiques valuations, available on the first and third Tuesday of every month starting in October. We are proud to introduce Sophie Chapman, an esteemed expert with a wealth of experience in the field, who will be leading these sessions.

About Sophie Chapman

Sophie Chapman brings nearly two decades of unparalleled expertise to Leighton Hall Auctions, having honed her skills at some of the most prestigious institutions in the world. Sophie began her career at Christie’s, where she received comprehensive training that laid the foundation for her extensive knowledge in the valuation and auctioning of fine jewellery and antiques.

Her impressive career has seen her work with other renowned auction houses, including Phillips and Bonhams, where she developed a keen eye for detail and an in-depth understanding of the market. Sophie’s experience also extends to working alongside esteemed collections, including the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) and The Wallace Collection, where she further enriched her knowledge and appreciation of historical and artistic treasures.

After years of working in these illustrious settings, Sophie relocated to Stamford in Lincolnshire, where she continued to build her reputation as a leading specialist in her field.
