An Antiques Roadshow Heads to Denstone Hall Farm Shop!

On Thursday 12th September 2024, Leighton Hall Auctions are extremely proud to announce that in co-operation with Denstone Hall Farm Shop, they will be holding an Antiques and Jewellery valuation day, with guest celebrity valuer Kate Bliss, on Thursday 12th September 2024 between 10am and 4pm outside in the marquee at Denstone.

Without the need to make appointments, Leighton Hall Auctions invite you to come along and say hello under the marquee in the gardens at Denstone Hall Farm Shop where you can bring along any antiques and jewellery to be valued by one of the team. You can also consign to the auction on the same day if you were happy with the no obligation advice received!

This will be an outside event under a covered area so please dress accordingly to the great British weather. Entrance to the event is free of charge, as are verbal valuations and auction advice. Valuations shall be run on a first-come, first-serve basis for the relevant valuer with people receiving numbers in the order they are to be seen. Whilst waiting, we recommend visiting the farm shop and cafe!

Denstone Hall Farm Shop are an award winning restaurant and shop with their shop and cafe open at the time of the event for those wishing to benefit from their facilities. For entrance to the antiques valuation event, please follow the signage which will instruct you to walk down the side of the building to the gardens. 

All antiques are required for our monthly and specialist auctions, with our auctions reaching international markets, such as pottery, jewellery, silver, gold, watches, advertising, militaria, coins, toys, country and sporting along with any other items you may have.

Valuers present on the day include the BBC's Kate Bliss (Jewellery, Silver and Watches), Toby Hall (Ceramics, Taxidermy and Gold / Silver Coins), Ed Goodall (Toys, Watches, Advertising and Automobilia) and Fergus Lees (Militaria, Country / Sporting and Medals). All of our valuers also have a general understanding in the world of antiques and would love to view and talk about any items that you may consider selling!

Hailing from Herefordshire, Kate is one of the most recognisable antiques expert who regularly appears on BBC's Bargain Hunt and has specialist expert knowledge in the form of valuing and assisting with the sale of fine jewellery and silver. Kate is also a fellow of the Great Britain Gemmological Association. 

We are absolutely thrilled and appreciative that Kate is proud to work alongside ourselves here at Leighton Hall Auctions and will be providing complimentary auction valuations for all fine jewellery and silver that you may be interested in selling through one of our specialist or monthly auctions. 

Valuations are offered without obligation, and if you were happy with the valuations and auction advice provided, you are also invited to consign your items to auction to sell with ourselves where they will be extensively advertised across the globe prior to auction. Our next specialist auction which would be appropriate for Fine Antiques and Jewellery is our Autumn Fine Antiques & Jewellery auction which is to be held on Thursday 24th October (online only). The deadline for entries is Wednesday 18th September 2024, at 12:30pm. If you were to consign your items at this event, they would be included within our upcoming auctions in October and November.

Never been to a Valuation Day? Not sure what to expect? Well, rest assured, there is no need to be worried about attending one of our Valuation Days. You can find more about our valuation days HERE!

In association with Kate, we are also pleased to offer a formal valuation service for reasons such as Probate or Insurance valuations. These can be accommodated by request though this would be a paid service to obtain a written document which includes a valuation and description of your item. You are welcome to book an appointment to speak to ourselves and Kate about this service though please note, we would estimate the delivery time of this service to be a 2 week turnaround and we would require the items to be left in our possession also. We are of course fully insured and a full receipt would also be provided for your items. 

If you were unable to attend this event, we also host weekly valuation days which are held every Tuesday and Wednesday between 10am and 4pm, at Unit 26 Emerald Way, Stone, Staffordshire, ST15 0SR. We kindly ask that you make an appointment to attend one of our valuation days which are free of charge for auction advice.
