Spode Copeland tea service, circa 1890, hand painted porcelain, with raised jewel work with floral vignettes on a cobalt and gilded background to include a teapot (finial re-glued), 5 cups, 7 saucers, 12 side plates, a cream jug, a lidded sugar, a bowl and 2 large dinner plates (Qty).
Generally in good and clean condition, odd damages present to include re-glued teapot finial, large plate cracked, 1 cup handle professionally restored, 2 small hairlines to inside rim of sugar bowl. Saucer diameter 15cm.
Vendor states that King George V and Princess Mary once drank from this set when visiting her family who were heavily involved in the British Red Cross in the Trentham / Stoke area.
